MendenFreiman LLP Continues Strategic Growth with Addition of Two Attorneys

ATLANTA, GA — MendenFreiman LLP is continuing a period of strategic growth and investment in talent with the addition of Senior Associate Attorney Allison L. Byrd and Associate Attorney Christopher A. (Chris) Jones. Their additions strengthen the firm's ability to serve individuals, families, fiduciaries, and business owners across its core practice areas.

Private Wealth and Trusts & Estates remains one of the firm's core practices, and the additions of Allison and Chris enhance MendenFreiman's ability to provide tailored counsel across estate planning, probate, estate and trust administration, tax matters, business succession planning, and related wealth preservation matters as part of the firm's broader investment in client service capabilities.

Allison L. Byrd

Allison brings more than three decades of legal experience, with a current practice focused on estate planning, probate, and estate and trust administration. She joins MendenFreiman from Morgan & DiSalvo, P.C., where she practiced alongside MendenFreiman Partner Loraine DiSalvo, advised private clients on comprehensive estate plans, and represented executors and personal administrators in probate matters. Before joining Morgan & DiSalvo, Allison owned and managed Allison Byrd Law, LLC, where she also focused on estate planning and probate.

Active in the estate planning community, Allison currently serves as President of the Estate Planning Council of North Georgia and previously served as Chair of the Atlanta Bar Association's Estate Planning & Probate Section. Her professional leadership, education, and service further support MendenFreiman's continued investment in experienced attorneys who add depth, judgment, and collaboration across the firm's core client service capabilities.

Christopher A. (Chris) Jones

Chris brings a diverse legal background that includes estate planning, tax controversy, corporate transactions, litigation, probate, and trust administration. Before joining MendenFreiman, he founded and led C.A. Jones Law, PLLC in Virginia, where he advised individuals, families, and closely held businesses on estate planning, business transactions, and tax matters. His experience also includes probate and trust administration as well as representation of taxpayers in federal and state tax controversy matters, adding complementary capabilities to the firm's growing client service team.

"MendenFreiman's continued growth reflects our long-term investment in people and our focus on attracting talented attorneys who enhance the way we serve clients. Allison and Chris each bring valuable experience, perspective, and skills, and their additions are part of a broader firmwide effort to build depth, collaborate with clients and their advisors, and provide practical, tailored counsel. They also add important strength to our Private Wealth and Trusts & Estates work, which remains a core part of the firm's broader client service platform," said Lawrence (Larry) H. Freiman, Co-Founding Partner and Private Wealth and Trusts & Estates Practice Group Leader.

"Strategic hiring is an important part of how we continue to grow as a firm and respond to the evolving needs of our clients. Welcoming Allison and Chris reflects our commitment to investing in people, expanding our capabilities, and building a firm that helps clients navigate complexity and achieve meaningful personal and business success. Their additions continue a period of momentum for MendenFreiman and strengthen our ability to serve clients and their advisors across the firm's core practice areas," said Lance G. Einstein, Managing Partner of MendenFreiman.
