Allison L. Byrd is a Senior Associate Attorney in MendenFreiman's Private Wealth and Trusts & Estates Group. She focuses her practice on estate planning, probate, and estate and trust administration, helping individuals and families protect their legacies and plan thoughtfully for the people and causes that matter to them.
Allison brings more than three decades of legal experience to her practice. Before joining MendenFreiman, she practiced with Morgan & DiSalvo, P.C., where she advised private clients on comprehensive estate plans and represented fiduciaries in probate matters. She previously owned and managed Allison Byrd Law, LLC, where her practice also focused on estate planning and probate.
Active in the estate planning community, Allison currently serves as President of the Estate Planning Council of North Georgia and previously served as Chair of the Atlanta Bar Association's Estate Planning & Probate Section. She is also a contributing editor to The Mortmain, the Section's official newsletter.
Allison is registered with the Georgia Supreme Court Commission on Dispute Resolution as a neutral in probate mediation, general civil mediation, domestic relations mediation, and arbitration.
A Georgia native, Allison lives in Roswell with her spouse and two Norwegian Forest cats. Outside of the office, she enjoys hiking, reading, crafting, and hosting friends for book club and movie nights.
