Loraine DiSalvo is a partner in MendenFreiman's Private Wealth and Trusts & Estates Group. Since 1997, she has advised individuals and families on estate planning, tax planning, probate, estate and trust administration, charitable giving, and business exit and succession planning.
Loraine brings a practical, creative, and client-focused approach to helping clients prepare for life's transitions and preserve their legacies. Her work ranges from wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives to sophisticated tax, wealth-transfer, and succession-planning strategies. She also guides executors, trustees, beneficiaries, and families through complex estate and trust administration matters.
Drawing on decades of experience, Loraine helps clients identify their priorities, understand their options, and develop plans tailored to their families, businesses, and long-term objectives. She has particular experience addressing the unique planning needs of blended and nontraditional families, as well as advising clients on estate and trust disputes.
Loraine has held numerous leadership roles within the legal and estate-planning communities. In 2026, she began serving a two-year term as Immediate Past President of the Estate Planning Council of North Georgia, following her term as President. She previously served as the Council's Vice President of Programs and as a member of its Board of Directors. Loraine also continues to serve as Editor-in-Chief of The Mortmain, the newsletter of the Atlanta Bar Association's Estate Planning and Probate Section.
Her additional leadership experience includes serving as Chair of the Atlanta Bar Association's Estate Planning and Probate Section, as a member of the Atlanta Bar Association's CLE Board of Trustees, and in several leadership roles with the Professional Women's Information Network, commonly known as ProWIN.
An Atlanta native, Loraine earned her J.D., with distinction, from Emory University School of Law and her B.A., cum laude, in history from Georgia State University.
Outside the office, Loraine enjoys riding motorcycles and putting her training as an automotive mechanic to use working on cars and bikes.
